On April 16, 2025, Representative Guthrie expressed the significance of his role as a Congressman, particularly in nominating young Americans for U.S. service academy appointments. He extended his congratulations to Harmony, a nominee who achieved acceptance to multiple academies, including West Point.

The following day, April 17, Guthrie reported on his visit to McLean County, where he met with Judge Executive Curtis Dame and other local officials from Livermore and Calhoun. The visit aimed to assess the flooding situation, which he described as a major disaster impacting the communities.

Later that day, Guthrie participated in the Butler County Chamber of Commerce Coffee Hour, engaging with local business leaders. He emphasized efforts to counteract burdensome regulations and support small businesses, mentioning collaboration with President Trump and House Republicans to achieve these goals.

Brett Guthrie, born in Florence, Alabama in 1964, has been residing in Bowling Green. His tenure in Congress follows his service in the Kentucky Senate from 2000 to 2008.
