Furthermore, Senator Paul has advocated for the rights of firefighters who oppose COVID-19 mandates. He offered an amendment that would provide funding to fire departments only if they offer full reinstatement and backpay to firefighters who lost their jobs for refusing vaccination or expressing opposition to mandates. Senator Paul also introduced the Travel Mask Mandate Repeal Act of 2021, highlighting his consistent opposition to COVID-19 mandates without scientific justification.
