Yesterday, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) continued his fight against COVID-19 mandates by introducing a resolution that aimed to protect Senate Pages from vaccination requirements. The resolution was introduced as part of Dr. Paul's ongoing efforts to safeguard individual freedoms and challenge unscientific mandates.

Dr. Paul's resolution was based on multiple scientific studies that have shown a heightened risk of myocarditis for children and teenagers after receiving an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine. Over the years, Dr. Paul has consistently taken action to challenge COVID-19 mandates that lack a scientific basis. In addition to introducing a similar resolution last year to lift vaccine and mask mandates for pages, he also authored the Vaccination Non-Discrimination Act, which aims to prevent healthcare facilities from denying care to patients based on their vaccination status.

Dr. Paul has been a vocal opponent of COVID-19 mandates, advocating for individual choice and personal freedom. He previously introduced the Travel Mask Mandate Repeal Act of 2021 and offered the Support the Reinstatement of Trained and Effective Firefighters amendment, which sought to provide funding to fire departments that reinstated and compensated firefighters who had been terminated for refusing vaccination or expressing opposition to mandates.
