Moreover, Dr. Paul has been vocal in his opposition to COVID-19 mandates without a scientific basis. He introduced the Travel Mask Mandate Repeal Act of 2021 and offered the Support the Reinstatement of Trained and Effective Firefighters amendment, which sought to provide funding to fire departments that terminated firefighters for refusing vaccination or voicing opposition to COVID-19 mandates.
