Rep. Brett Guthrie, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Kentucky's 2nd district since 2009, recently expressed his concerns on social media regarding economic issues and political policies. Guthrie shared his thoughts through a series of tweets addressing inflation, fuel prices, and extending holiday greetings.

On November 27, 2024, Rep. Guthrie criticized the Biden administration for the increase in Thanksgiving dinner costs and grocery prices over recent years. He stated: "Thanks to the radical policies of the Biden admin your Thanksgiving dinner will cost 19% more than 5 years ago and the price of groceries have gone up by 22% since January 2022." He emphasized the need to reverse this trend and expressed his willingness to collaborate with President Trump.

Later that day, Guthrie turned his attention to California's economic policies under Governor Gavin Newsom. He noted an expected rise in gas prices in California next year: "Thanks to the radical policies of Gavin Newsom California is expected to see 90 cents more per gallon for gas next year." He voiced support for President Trump and criticized what he described as a "radical far-left agenda."

On November 28, Guthrie extended holiday wishes to his constituents in Kentucky’s 2nd district with a brief message: "From my family to yours, wishing families across KY-02 a safe and Happy Thanksgiving."
