Brett Guthrie celebrates Lincoln and supports community health centers

Rep. Brett Guthrie, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Kentucky's 2nd district, recently shared updates on social media about his engagements and activities. The congressman has been active in celebrating historical figures, advocating for community health centers, and encouraging young leaders.

On February 12, 2025, Rep. Guthrie commemorated Abraham Lincoln's birthday with a post honoring the former president's birthplace. He stated, "Happy Birthday to LaRue County’s favorite son, our 16th President Abraham Lincoln. I’m proud to represent President Lincoln’s birthplace in Hodgenville, where @LincolnBirthNPS honors Lincoln with a display of the cabin where he was born!"

Later that day, Rep. Guthrie shared details of his meeting with representatives from the Kentucky Primary Care Association on February 12, 2025. He wrote about their discussion regarding community health centers' vital role in rural communities: "Last week I met with representatives from the Kentucky Primary Care Association to discuss how @HouseCommerce can continue to advocate for community health centers which are the backbone of our rural communities."

In another engagement posted on February 12, 2025, Rep. Guthrie discussed his interaction with students from the Ford Statesmanship Academy in Daviess County. He expressed enthusiasm for seeing future leaders from Kentucky and acknowledged the work being done by an educational center in Owensboro: "This week I met with students from the Ford Statesmanship Academy in Daviess County to discuss the great work the Wendell H. Ford Government Education Center is doing in Owensboro. I am always glad to see our next generation of Kentucky leaders!"
