Rep. Brett Guthrie meets local groups on key issues including water safety

Rep. Brett Guthrie, a U.S. Congressman representing Kentucky's 2nd District since 2009, shared insights into his recent meetings through a series of tweets. Guthrie has been actively engaging with various groups to address critical issues within his district.

On February 5, 2025, Rep. Guthrie reported meeting with representatives from the Kentucky Rural Water Association. The discussion focused on ensuring access to safe drinking water for communities across the Commonwealth and KY-02. "Today I met with representatives from Kentucky Rural Water Association from Warren, Daviess, Hart, and Barren Counties to discuss how we can ensure communities across our Commonwealth and KY-02 have access to safe drinking water."

Later that day, Guthrie met with members of the Kentucky Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselors to advocate for drug prevention in KY-02. He emphasized his commitment to protecting youth from substance use disorder dangers in local communities. "Earlier today I met with folks from the Kentucky Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselors to discuss how we can continue to advocate for drug prevention across KY-02. I am committed to ensuring our youth are protected from the dangers of substance use disorder in our communities."

On February 6, 2025, Guthrie attended the National Prayer Breakfast alongside Kentuckians from Warren, Hardin, and Daviess Counties. During this event, he engaged in discussions about faith and expressed his dedication to preserving religious freedom throughout the Commonwealth. "This week I met with Kentuckians attending the National Prayer Breakfast from Warren, Hardin, and Daviess Counties to talk about our faith and how I am committed to preserving religious freedom across our Commonwealth."
