Rep. Brett Guthrie meets narcotics officers and students; supports women's sports legislation

Brett Guthrie, the U.S. Representative for Kentucky's 2nd district since 2009, recently shared updates on his activities through a series of tweets. Guthrie has been actively engaging with constituents and addressing legislative issues pertinent to his role in Congress.

On February 4, 2025, Guthrie tweeted about a meeting with representatives from the Kentucky Narcotic Officers’ Association. He stated: "Today I met with representatives from the Kentucky Narcotic Officers’ Association from Barren, Jefferson, Hardin, and Warren Counties to discuss our shared commitment to closing the border and stopping the flow of illegal drugs into our nation including fentanyl which House..."

Guthrie followed up on February 5, 2025, by sharing his interaction with young students in Hart County. He remarked: "I recently had the pleasure of meeting with 5th and 8th grade students from Memorial School in Hart County. We had a fantastic time discussing how a bill becomes a law. It is always a joy to meet the next generation of leaders right here in KY-02!"

Later that day, he expressed support for National Girls and Women in Sports Day while highlighting recent legislative actions taken by his party. He tweeted: "Happy National Girls and Women in Sports Day. I am proud that @HouseGOP took action and passed the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2025 to ensure biological males are not allowed in women’s sports."
