Brett Guthrie discusses Prove It Act support and honors Pearl Harbor Day

Rep. Brett Guthrie, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Kentucky's 2nd district since 2009, has been active on social media, sharing his thoughts and actions on various topics over the past week.

On December 6, 2024, Rep. Guthrie expressed his support for a legislative measure aimed at increasing transparency in regulatory decisions impacting small businesses. He stated, "This week I was honored to vote for @RepFinstad’s Prove It Act which requires greater transparency on regulatory decisions affecting small businesses, and empowers our small businesses by giving them the ability to challenge bureaucratic overreach by petitioning the…"

Reflecting on historical events, Rep. Guthrie commemorated Pearl Harbor Day in a tweet posted on December 7, 2024. He remarked, "December 7, 1941 was a day which will live in infamy, in which our nation was mercilessly attacked at Pearl Harbor entering our nation into WWII. Now 83 years later we still honor those who bravely defended our nation at Pearl Harbor and in its aftermath."

In a more personal message dated December 9, 2024, Rep. Guthrie extended his condolences to Dr. Burgess and his family following a tragic loss. He wrote, "Beth and I are so sorry for Dr. Burgess, Laura, and your family following this tragic loss. The loss of a child is profoundly sad. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time."
