Rep. Brett Guthrie, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Kentucky’s 2nd district, has been vocal on several issues through his recent tweets. His comments cover topics ranging from economic concerns to public health trust and international trade relations.

On December 3, 2024, Rep. Guthrie addressed the issue of China restricting the export of critical minerals to the United States. He emphasized the importance of domestic production and processing of these essential materials for economic stability. On December 4, 2024, he commented on the economic challenges faced by Americans due to inflation under President Biden's administration. He expressed his intention to collaborate with GOP Majority Whip Emmer and former President Trump to address rising costs and restore economic prosperity. "Americans are still feeling the affects of Bidenflation and wages that won’t keep up with rapidly rising costs. I look forward to working with @GOPMajorityWhip Emmer and President Trump to finally bring these costs down and economic prosperity back to the American people!"

On December 5, 2024, Rep. Guthrie questioned Dr. Fauci's need for a preemptive pardon from President Biden concerning COVID-19's origins and effects, suggesting it undermines public trust in health institutions despite no crimes being committed by Dr. Fauci according to Guthrie's statement."If Dr. Fauci didn't lie regarding the origins of COVID and its effects then why does he need a preemptive pardon from President Biden? Even if Dr. Fauci committed no crimes, this further erodes Americans' lack of trust in our public health institutions."
