Rep. Brett Guthrie discusses law enforcement support and legislative priorities

Rep. Brett Guthrie, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Kentucky's 2nd district, shared insights on recent legislative and policy issues through a series of tweets. His posts reflect his ongoing commitment to law enforcement support, educational reform, and opposition to certain federal mandates.

On November 16, Rep. Guthrie expressed his dedication to law enforcement after speaking at the Kentucky Women’s Law Enforcement Network Annual Meeting in Bowling Green. He stated, "I had the honor of speaking at the Kentucky Women’s Law Enforcement Network Annual Meeting in Bowling Green last week. I’m committed to ensuring our men and women in uniform have the resources they need to serve our communities with honor and integrity."

Three days later, on November 19, he announced his support for educational reform by voting for Rep. Houchin’s FAFSA Deadline Act. He explained, "Last week, I was proud to vote for @RepHouchin’s FAFSA Deadline Act which removes the flexible deadline for the Department of Education to release FASFA applications. This bill will mandate the release of the application by October 1, to ensure students, families and schools have…"

Later that day on November 19, Rep. Guthrie criticized federal electric vehicle mandates implemented by the Biden-Harris administration. He remarked that these policies were detrimental to American workers and called for their repeal: "The Biden-Harris EV mandates have been a disaster for America and American workers. We must repeal these draconian mandates and allow households to make their own decisions about vehicles that best meet the needs of their family."
