He warned that the excessive deficit resulting from these earmarks could lead to inflation, making it challenging for Americans to afford basic necessities like food, clothing, and gasoline.

Dr. Paul described the bill as "an insult to the American people" due to what he perceives as wasteful spending practices. He urged for the defeat of the bill, criticizing the earmarks as a form of unnecessary and harmful expenditure.
