The City of Morgantown allots money in each budget for the Business Accelerator Program. These grants are available to new businesses wishing to open in the City of Morgantown. Recipients of Entrepreneur Grants go through a training process with a business coach and receive either payment toward the purchase of a building or reimbursement on rent for a commercial space in Morgantown. Previous recipients of Morgantown’s Entrepreneur Grants are HeBrews12 Coffee and My Mother’s Daughter’s Cheesecakes. In 2023, The Bark House and Hometown Trophy are recipients of Morgantown’s Entrepreneur Grant and have completed their Entrepreneur training. Applications for the Business Accelerator Program are available on the City of Morgantown website or can be picked up in person at City Hall.
