Rep. Brett Guthrie, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Kentucky's 2nd district, recently shared his views on national energy policy, public health trust, and border security through a series of tweets. Guthrie has been serving in Congress since 2009 after succeeding Ron Lewis and previously served in the Kentucky Senate from 2000 to 2008.

On January 21, Rep. Guthrie highlighted President Trump's declaration of a national emergency aimed at enhancing American energy production. He stated, "Yesterday President Trump declared a national emergency that allows our country to finally unleash American energy! The @HouseCommerce will work with President Trump to ensure we work to lower energy costs across the board for Americans."

The following day, on January 22, Rep. Guthrie raised concerns regarding Dr. Fauci's pardon and its implications for public health trust. He questioned, "Like I said in December, if Dr. Fauci did nothing wrong then why did he need to be pardoned? What was he doing in 2014 that he needed to be pardoned for? We cannot continue this erosion of trust in our public health systems."

On January 23, Rep. Guthrie expressed support for President Trump's actions on border security, emphasizing executive orders related to immigration policies. He remarked that "From Day ONE President Trump has put border security first and issued executive orders to reinstate the successful Remain in Mexico policy, declare a national emergency to deploy the national guard to the border, and end the dangerous catch and release program."
