New members join Energy & Commerce Committee under Chairman Guthrie

Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Brett Guthrie has announced the addition of ten new members to the committee for the 119th Congress. The selections were made by the House Republican Steering Committee.

Chairman Guthrie expressed enthusiasm about the new appointments, stating, “Congratulations to the new members of the House Energy & Commerce Committee. I am excited to welcome these outstanding members who each bring unique experiences and perspectives to the Committee." He highlighted the committee's upcoming priorities, which include efforts to "restore American energy dominance and lower prices for families and small businesses," as well as initiatives aimed at reducing health care costs while maintaining access to essential treatments.

The newly appointed members are Cliff Bentz from Oregon's 2nd District, Erin Houchin from Indiana's 9th District, Russell Fry from South Carolina's 7th District, Laurel Lee from Florida's 15th District, Nick Langworthy from New York's 23rd District, Tom Kean from New Jersey's 7th District, Mike Rulli from Ohio's 6th District, Gabe Evans from Colorado's 8th District, Craig Goldman from Texas' 12th District, and Julie Fedorchak representing North Dakota at-large.

Guthrie emphasized that these individuals will play a crucial role in advancing the committee’s objectives: "These new members will be valuable additions to the Energy & Commerce Committee as we fight to put America back on track and restore the American Dream for families across the country."
