Congressman Brett Guthrie has announced a $3.64 million federal grant for the City of Bowling Green. The funding, provided by the National Parks Service Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership Program, will be used to improve Riverfront Park.

“I’m pleased to announce that the City of Bowling Green has been awarded a federal grant to develop the Riverfront Park along the Barren River. This new park will be a center for recreation and community for Kentuckians across Warren County and the surrounding areas. After extensive public input, I am pleased to see this project come to fruition to bring public park features that have not been seen before by residents and that will drive visitors from across the Commonwealth and surrounding states to our community. I look forward to seeing this project come to fruition, and be enjoyed by residents for years to come,” said Congressman Guthrie.
