WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Brett Guthrie (KY-02) issued a statement following his vote in favor of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act.
"As the proud Congressman for Fort Knox and the Wendell H. Ford Regional Training Center, I am honored to fight in Washington to ensure our servicemembers and our decorated veterans receive the services they have earned," said Guthrie. "Today, I was proud to vote for the FY 2025 Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act which will not only fully fund our veterans’ health care benefits and health care programs but also will ensure our military continues to be the strongest armed force in the world."
Guthrie highlighted that the legislation provides robust defense in the Indo-Pacific region and includes funding to improve military family housing globally. He emphasized that beyond active-duty servicemembers, House Republicans have secured funding for veterans' medical benefits above the level requested by the Administration.
"I will always continue my work to provide for our military and our veteran community," he concluded.
