Dr. Rand Paul Announces 2024 Service Academy Nominations

U.S. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky has announced his nominations to the U.S. service academies, selecting 37 individuals from across the Commonwealth. In a statement, Dr. Paul expressed his admiration for the dedication of these young men and women to serve in the military, wishing them success in the selection process. Dr. Paul stated, “I have no doubt the students chosen will proudly represent the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the service academies.”

The nominations include individuals for the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, the U.S. Military Academy, and the U.S. Naval Academy. Among the nominees are Isabel Billings from Louisville, Peyton Boyd from Danville, Ansh Chhabra from Bowling Green, and many others from various cities across Kentucky.

The list of nominees also includes individuals like Mercator Bell, William Burchett, and Jessica Avery Ethridge for the U.S. Military Academy, and Alyssa Celedonio, Tristan Copes, and Ozair Kissana for the U.S. Naval Academy.

Dr. Paul highlighted the significance of the nomination process, stating, "A very rewarding aspect of being a United States Senator is the opportunity to nominate young men and women from across the state to attend our nation’s prestigious service academies." He also shared links for those interested in learning more about the service academy process.
