Hilltoppers earn No. 6 seed for Conference USA baseball tournament

WKU Baseball was announced as the No. 6 seed for the upcoming Conference USA Tournament, according to a May 16 statement from the organization. The tournament will take place next week in Kennesaw, Georgia.

The new format for the 2026 tournament features nine teams divided into three pools of three. As the sixth seed, WKU is placed in Pool A alongside top-seeded Jacksonville State and ninth-seeded Middle Tennessee. The Hilltoppers are scheduled to play their first game against Middle Tennessee on Wednesday, May 20 at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time, followed by a matchup with Jacksonville State on Friday, May 22 at 1:30 p.m.

According to the announcement, “The winner of each pool along with a fourth wild card team (highest seed left with best record) will advance to a single elimination semifinal round on Saturday, May 23.” All games before the championship will be available via streaming on ESPN+.
