Rep. Brett Guthrie, who represents Kentucky’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, addressed constituents and shared updates about his recent activities and legislative priorities through a series of posts on social media.
On August 1, 2025, Guthrie sought to clarify public concerns regarding proposed changes to Medicaid under a new legislative proposal. He wrote, “There’s a lot of misinformation about how the One, Big, Beautiful Bill impacts single mothers, children, seniors, and people with disabilities who rely on Medicaid. Later that day, Guthrie highlighted his engagement with local officials in Kentucky’s 2nd district. On August 1, he posted: “Can’t think of a better way to wrap up a meeting with local officials in #KY02 than with homemade ice cream! Great to be in Butler County recently to discuss my work in Congress and talk about ways we can continue to work together to serve Kentuckians. https://t.co/6WG7zmBIav”.
Continuing his outreach efforts, Guthrie shared details of a visit to an automotive facility. On August 2, he stated: “Last week, I visited with the team at the Casco Automotive assembly plant in Morgantown. It was great to visit with their team and learn about the ways that they are ensuring Kentucky’s automotive industry continues to thrive! https://t.co/3LtHe7ChcT”.
